Unveiling of a memorial stone for Mere Gilmore

The Gilmore whānau would like to announce that the unveiling of a memorial stone for Mere Gilmore
will take place on:

Saturday 01 January 2022 at Pekanikau Urupā
Pirongia West Road, Ōpārau

Service at 10am and hākari to follow at 12pm (at this venue)

Our whānau recognise that living with COVID-19 and its impact on us all has meant that we will be
observing the following tikanga (guidelines) to ensure a safe environment to all those attending the
unveiling.

The following will apply:

1. Sanitising hands is a priority for all - please make use of the sanitiser stations
2. QR Scanning or Manual Sign In as you enter Pekanikau. (Manual Sign In stations will be
available)
3. We will be adopting a no personal touching tikanga during the day. ie No Hongi, No Harirū and
No Kissing
4. As an added layer of protection for you and for others please use a face mask
5. We respectfully ask that if you are unwell to please stay home to minimise the risk to you and
to others
6. At all times we ask that you be respectful and kind to one another as we observe the above
tikanga for the day
