Testing stations today in Te Awamutu and Whatawhata

Testing stations are up and running today at the Te Awamutu Methodist  Church,   261 Bank Street, Te Awamutu until 3:30 pm and Te Papa o Rotu marae in Whatawhata until 2 pm this afternoon.  These two testing sites are managed by the Māori Health provider, Raukura Hauora o Tainui who welcome anyone who needs to be tested following the announcement of the latest Covid numbers this morning.

There are five new Covid 19 cases in Te Awamutu today and three in Hamilton.    Five of the positive cases are Pākehā and three Māori.

CEO Terina Moke reinforces the testing stations are open to everyone.

“The delta virus doesn’t discriminate and figures show this has become the pandemic of the unvaccinated.  The majority of hospitalized covid patients in Aotearoa were unvaccinated, so please come visit our pop up in Te Awamutu and Whatawhata for testing.
