Raukura Hauora o Tainui record 62 swabs at Maketū marae, Kāwhia after second positive COVID case



Following the second recording of a positive COVID case in Kāwhia, Waikato Health agency, Raukura Hauora o Tainui set up their second testing station at Maketū marae, Kāwhia last week recording 44 swabs on Friday and another 18 on Saturday with 6 vaccinations.

The young woman who tested positive was in Kāwhia with her boyfriend for a couple of months visiting her Dad who returned the couple to Pukekohe on the Tuesday after labour weekend.

The boyfriend and father are still waiting for their test results.  

Raukura Hauora o Tainui are planning to be back in Kāwhia on Wednesday of this week to continue testing and vaccinating locals.
