Trust chair, Cath Holland says prior to the announcement of NZ moving from Traffic Lights Orange to Red, the Trust had planned to convene an AGM kanohi ki te kanohi with our beneficiaries in Hamilton.
” On 23 January, New Zealand moved from Traffic Light Orange to Red, with overarching restrictions. So as to protect and keep beneficiaries safe in this shifting COVID environment, the Trust has applied the provisions of the COVID – 19 Responses (Management Measures) Legislation Act 2021, whereby we are able to convene an AGM electronically even though our Trust Charter does not permit it”.
Cath says there will be no Trustee elections conducted at this AGM.
“The current five (5) Trustees were not endorsed by the Māori Land Court until 23 March 2021 and to date have served only ten (10) months of year 1 of a three (3) year term. Likewise, there will be no election for new Marae Committee members at this AGM. Both Trustee and Marae Committee elections are deferred to the next AGM later this year.”
The ZOOM AGM will look to endorse the:
- Minutes of the previous AGM 14 November 2020
- Annual Report for the year ending 31 March 2021 presented by acting chair Hone Edwards
- Key results 1 April 2020 - 31 March 2021 presented by Trust Chair Cath Holland
- Annual Plan 1 April 2021 – 31 March 2022 presented by Trust Chair, Cath Holland
- Summary Financial Statement year ending 31 March 2021 & 2021 Audited Financial Statement prepared and presented by Paula Woods, Coast Accounting & Auditor Mathew Moir, Hammond & Moir Limited, Te Awamutu
A copy of the Audited Financial Statement will be posted on the website following the AGM
The presentation of the Audited Financial Statement will be followed by General Business and then Karakia to close our AGM
